Hubba Hubba Revue beach parties during the day on Sunday, goes Vegas at night with Bombshell Betty on Monday

This Father's Day, catch the Hubba Hubba Revue's Flying Saucer Beach Party at time you only occasionally see burlesque show — during the bright light of day at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco! Perfect for the father who says he can't stay up past 9:00 p.m.!

The theme for Sunday's Flying Saucer Beach Party show seems to be a mash-up of Plan 9 from Outer Space and various beach and surf movies. It'll be a time for resurrected ghoulies, crazed aliens, beach burlesque, and perhaps even an appearance by Bela Lugosi! Plus, there will be BBQ, hot rods, and special guest stars, including Balrok and The Cave Girls from KOFY TV20's Creepy KOFY Movietime! And there will be not one, but two bands: The Deadlies and Pollo Del Mar! Plus some fantastic burlesque acts such as Rosie 151 from New York, Detroit's Twinkletoes McGee, Lulu Bell from Seattle, and a full lineup of Bay Area talent!

The daytime party will be at the DNA Lounge this Sunday, June 19. The doors open at 2:00 p.m., and the show will start at 3:00 and the party will last until 8:00! Tickets are $12.00, and you may purchase $10.00 tickets online at dnalounge.com or from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 at the box office day of the show, which is 21 and older only. The DNA Lounge is located at 375 Eleventh Street in San Francisco (map).

Join the Devil-Ettes this weekend for music and Pip Squeak A Go Go!

On Friday, May 21, San Francisco's go-go dancing sweethearts the Devil-Ettes (as the Mini Skirt Mob) will be performing at the Nokie Edwards show at the Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco.

As a guitarist with the Ventures, Nokie Edwards played on some of the most popular and enduring instrumental rock songs ever. "Walk Don't Run," "Pipeline," "Perfidia," and the theme from the television series Hawaii Five-O are some of the Ventures' most popular hits. The Ventures were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008, and are the best-selling instrumental band of all time.

Also performing will be Venturesmania, Deke Dickerson & the Ecco-Fonics, and Pollo Del Mar.

It will be an all ages show. Tickets are $15 in advance at www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/7255, and $20 at the door.

Then, on Saturday, the Devil-Ettes will host an event for the little ones and their parents which will also be a fundraiser for the Cure JM Foundation. It's Pip Squeak A Go Go at Rhythmix Cultural Works in Alameda!

1 - 4:30 PM, Saturday, May 22
PIP SQUEAK A GO GO CURE JM BENEFIT!

Presented by The Devil-Ettes and Baby Doe Productions this event is a BENEFIT for the Cure JM Foundation (www.curejm.org), which hopes to find a cure for Juvenile Myositis, an extremely rare autoimmune disease. In particular, this is a benefit in the name of Mielle Gonzalez, a 8-year-old Alamedan who was diagnosed with JM at the age of 5. Since then, she has endured treatment involving powerful drugs that come with major, horrible side effects, including terrible headaches and nausea, excessive weight gain, wild rages and mood swings. Her life now involves regular blood draws, intravenous drug treatments, and trips to a specialist in Chicago.

Shockingly, for a disease that strikes 3 children out of one million, there are now THREE known cases of juvenile dermatomyositis in Alameda. Cure JM provides invaluable support to these local families and others like them, and funds research into better treatments and ultimately a CURE for this dreaded disease. You can read more about Mielle and her story here: www.mielle-jdm.blogspot.com

Established in 2006, Pip Squeak A Go Go has been the most rockin’ dance party for all ages! We are excited to be back in Alameda for our second dance party benefit for Cure JM. They’re working to find a cure for juvenile dermatomyocitis, a debilitating disease whose symptoms include muscle weakness and pain, severe fatigue, rashes and a whole host of others. The disease affects 5,000 children here in the United States – including two girls in Alameda, CA.

“What better excuse to dress up your little ones in shiny boots and mini-skirts? Well, unless they're boys. Then it's best to stick with Beatle boots.” - SF Chronicle 2006

The Quarter Mile Combo
Pure rockin' Americana Rockabilly from this 4 piece act! The Quarter Mile Combos backbone is kept solid by drummer Gary Daly, and Todd Troublemaker's upright bass slappin'. With their recent release of "Motels, Gas and Beer", The Quarter Mile Combo's live show will take you down an electrifying winding road of good time rock n roll.
