Naked Spooky Girls of San Francisco read Neil Gaiman tonight

Naked Girls Reading of San Francisco returns this evening to read some of the works of Neil Gaiman at the Center for Sex and Culture in San Francisco.

Neil Gaiman won't be there himself, but he has endorsed this event. The performers who will be there and reading naked are scheduled to include Carol Queen, Lady Monster, Ophelia Coeur de Noir and Rain DeGrey!

General admission tickets are $15.00. The doors open at 8:00 p,m., and the performance starts at 8:30. The Center for Sex and Culture is located at 1349 Mission Street (map).

There will also be a production of Babble On! BABALON by C. Theodore Walker, so bring a spooky mask for the audience participation part. Or a mask will be provided for you, should you not have one.

If you have a scary book to trade, you too can participate in Neil Gaiman's All Hallow's Read program.

Our special feature for this event will be the production of Babble On! BABALON by C. Theodore Walker.

This half-play/half-ritual (written and directed by Walker) is based on Aleister Crowley’s writings about the Whore of Babalon. Babble on, BABALON! is a modern Gnostic fable for the end of the old aeon and the birth of a new. This fable, about a high priest in service to the Great Whore BABALON, involves spoken word poetry with a dramatic edge, body-painting, live music performance; sex+horror=magick.

The show involves audience participation of wearing a mask. Please bring your own mask. If you do not bring your own, one will be provided for you. Costumes are encouraged.

We will also be celebrating Neil Gaiman’s ALL HALLOWS’ READ. Please bring a spooky book to trade.
Last Gasp Books will be on hand selling various titles at the show.
